Christopher J. Massaro – Founder and Managing Partner
Mr. Massaro has more than 25 years of experience in career management, investment banking, and business operations. Prior to forming The Source, Mr. Massaro served as President of CJM Strategies, a private middle market investment banking firm, was a Vice President with Gottesman Company, the largest middle market investment banking firm in the U.S., and spent over 15 years as an owner and Executive Vice President of Vilotti-Puratos, a $25 million food manufacturing and distribution company. He serves on the board of directors for The Cancer Foundation for Personal Wellness. Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Villanova University.
Phil Tankel, Ph.D.
Dr. Tankel has been a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania since 1991. He trained in Connecticut and in Philadelphia. In the late 90’s, he developed a business practice (Interpersonal Business Solutions) based on his experiences working with individuals and families. He has worked with many family firms and with individuals on their business experiences, including current interpersonal issues in the workplace, personal career transitions and business succession. He has worked extensively with members of The Source on projects involving career management and group dynamics. He currently works with clients of The Source using the 16PF personality test. As an executive coach, Phil brings not only twenty years of clinical and business life experience, but also the ethical standards mandatory within the practice of psychology.
Jeannie Feliciano – Vice President
Ms. Feliciano has been a serial entrepreneur and seasoned marketing
professional. She has over 15 years of corporate marketing experience,
having for worked for large regional as well as international organizations
specializing in the construction management, real estate development and
environmental engineering industries. As she progressed through her career
in marketing, she has been involved and/or responsible for strategic
marketing, branding, corporate communications and PR, proposal/presentation
development, project management, event planning, vendor management, graphic
design and collateral design and development.
David J. Harrison – Partner – Consulting Services
Mr. Harrison has more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Medical systems industries. Prior to joining The Source, Mr. Harrison served as President and COO of SYNOVA HEALTHCARE GROUP, INC, a public pharmaceutical and medical device company focused in OTC women’s healthcare, was a Business Director with Beckton Dickenson Canada, responsible for Injection, Infusion, Anesthesia, Surgical, Ophthalmic and Critical Care businesses. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Economics from Brock University in Canada.
Thomas N. Pappas, Managing Partner, began his professional career at Xerox Corporation. During his 12 year tenure, Mr. Pappas rose through the field sales organization, ultimately as Regional Sales Manager leading 19 offices and $55 million in sales. Mr. Pappas served as the Senior Vice President, Managing Principal and Global Sales & Marketing Manager for Johnson & Higgins, providing advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital. His specific charge: take the $800 million company’s new and additional business to the next level. As CEO of United Healthcare of PA, Mr. Pappas excelled in the transformation of the struggling health plan. By tackling the benefit cost ratio and aggressively motivating and mobilizing the workforce, the once floundering entity became a formidable competitor to Aetna, Highmark and Independence Blue Cross. Mr. Pappas holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Steven W. Smith, Partner, has spent the last 30 years in business development. He has worked both in large corporate settings and created and launched start-up companies. At ADP, as National Bank Sales Director, he inspired and helped lead their growth in treasury management. At HealthEase, as Founder and CEO, he transformed the company to become an emerging leader in the corporate wellness space. In addition to his sales and marketing efforts, Mr. Smith has advised and transacted in over $18 million of real estate transactions during his career. Mr. Smith has held many leadership positions in the non-profit world. He has held a variety of roles for the Union League of Philadelphia, including Board Member, Vice President and Trustee of their Youth Work Foundation. He has served as President of The Philadelphia Finance Association and Vice Chairman of the PGA Tour’s SEI Pennsylvania Classic. Mr. Smith holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Drexel University.
